Patron: Lord Petre,
(former Lord Lieutenant of Essex)

Eric joined Dengie Hundred Probus Club in 2002, and became secretary in 2003, a position he kept until 2007. In 2004 Eric took on the additional role of luncheon secretary which he has maintained until now. After having lived many years in Burnham-on-Crouch Eric and his wife, Brenda have now decided to move to Devon.

Through his work over the years he came to know the majority - if not all - of members. As a result of his friendly and helpful attitude he was very well liked by all members and has made a considerable contribution to the club. The way he has been able to arrange the numerous luncheons and especially the celebrations when ladies were invited has been second to none. He will be missed by all members and their wives.

As a way of saying thank you a small gift was presented to Eric at the November Luncheon, being his last meeting with the club. The photos here were taken on that occasion.

We all wish him and Brenda all the best in their new home in Devon.
